The traditional Maasai wedding experience is great for rehearsal dinner or bridal shower too. After the beautiful Maasai wedding ceremony and dinner with lots of singing and dancing with Maasai warriors the newlyweds dine with candlelight under the African stars. The newlyweds begin their wedded days with breakfast served in the midst of golden savannah after watching the sunrise on this magical location.
Welcome to experience our breathtaking romantic getaway in Tanzania. We arrange private and secluded traditional Maasai wedding ceremonies and glamping honeymoons in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with dancing and singing with the Maasai warriors, ritual blessing, romantic candle night dinners under the African stars, and private safari game drives and bush walks, and romantic lunch picnics with Champagne. You don’t need to be planning a honeymoon, you can also have a romantic getaway. All our stays are sustainable and we give back to the Maasai community.
On the following days, the newlyweds and guests can enjoy private game drives and bush walks in both in Ngorongoro Crater or Serengeti national park with picnic lunch served with Champagne. Ecological accommodation is in comfortable tents with beds and amazing views. As this place is entirely in wild nature, there is no electricity, which makes it very romantic with candlelights and hanging lanterns.
Ngorongoro Crater
The world’s largest intact caldera from a long extinct volcano, Ngorongoro is home to about 26 000 wild creatures who live within the safety of the caldera walls. The Maasai are the indigenous peoples whose traditional lands are Ngorongoro including the Crater where they still herd their cows. In the Ngorongoro Crater, it's possible to see elephants, black rhinoceroses, leopards, buffalo, zebras, warthogs, gnu (wildebeests), Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, and the densest population of lions in the world. You will experience this amazing Crater with the Maasai who are the best guides to tell you about this unique area and wild game.

The itinerary
DAY 1. Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport, Tanzania. Our Maasai staff comes to pick you up by a four-wheel safari vehicle and transfer you to a lodge in Arusha. Dinner in a lodge. (D).
DAY 2. After breakfast, you head to the world-famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is also UNESCO Heritage Site. The Maasai welcome you with welcoming celebrations. The Maasai start to get you prepaid for the traditional Maasai wedding ceremony. You can wear beautifully decorated Maasai jewelry and clothes. The ceremony takes place inside a Maasai village (boma). The Maasai elder will bless you with milk inside a Maasai hut, and after celebrating continues outside with dancing and singing. You will have enough time to take photos. After the ceremony, you head to the most romantic bush dinner in our Maasai bush camp where Maasai warriors are waiting for you. While you enjoy the most romantic dinner under the African sky full of stars, the Maasai warriors dance, and sing. The Maasai warriors guard the camp at all times. (B, L, D).
DAY 3. Enjoy your bush breakfast while watching the amazing sunrise as newlyweds. After breakfast, you head to the Ngorongoro Crater for a whole day safari drive to observe the wild animals and spectacular nature. You have a romantic lunch picnic with Champagne near the Hippo Pool. After the safari, you head back to the Maasai bush camp. You can relax at the camp enjoying afternoon tea and appetizers, or you can follow the warriors to the bush to learn more about Maasai bush medicine, healing and, traditions. In the evening, you enjoy the famous Maasai bush barbecue around a campfire. (B, picnic L, D).
DAY 4. After delicious bush breakfast, get ready for your bush walk with the Maasai warriors. Today you explore Ngorongoro by foot with the warriors. You can see wild game such as zebras, gnu, and Thomson's gazelles. It's amazing to walk and to be so close to African wild animals. You have a picnic lunch in the savanna that is totally secluded and romantic location. After walking safari, you head to Maasai village to say goodbye. You arrive back to Arusha in the afternoon. You can catch an evening flight or extend your stay in Zanzibar. The tour ends in the afternoon. (B, picnic L).

You can book this tour year-round from Thursday to Sunday.
Tanzania has a long dry season from June to October which is a perfect time for this experience as we dine outdoors. Tanzania has long rains from March to May. Contact us if you have any questions.
Location
Our location is in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area which is a UNESCO's World Heritage Site. We pick you up from Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha city by a private safari vehicle.
Accommodation
Accommodation is in comfortable tents with trekking beds. Tents are lighted up with lanterns and oil lamps, and they have breathtaking views overlooking the Serengeti plains.
As this place is entirely in the wild bush, we have a portable trekking toilet. There is no running water, but guests are given hot water every day for washing.
Food
You have a private Maasai chef who prepares delicious food made from local and fresh ingredients. We serve tasty African food. We can cater up for groups in our special bush dinners.
Price
Price: € 2190 / $ 2440 per person ( 4 Days, 3 nights). Minimum 2 persons. Ask for a discount for a bigger group. You can extend your stay to visit other national parks and Zanzibar.
The price includes pick-up and return to Kilimanjaro Airport / Arusha, a private Safari 4*4 vehicle, all the gate and camping fees in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area & Ngorongoro Crater, private English speaking Maasai staff (a chef, a guide, a driver), two nights accommodation in a comfortable tent with beds, one night accommodation in a 4-star lodge in Arusha, all-inclusive food and local beverages, bushwalk in Ngorongoro, and,game drive in Ngorongoro Crater with a Champagne picnic.
We donate part of the payment to the Maasai community project which is education. We build a school in Ngorongoro.
