Company
Visit Natives is a registered travel agency in Finland (Business ID: 1911148-0). Visit Natives is entered in the register of travel agencies maintained by the Competition and Consumer Authority with registration number: 395/19/Mj. All the prices and payments follow the Finnish Tax Administration.
Prices
The exact price will be shown in a booking confirmation which we will send you after you have made a booking inquiry. Visit Natives will not increase the price of your tour after you have paid in full. Prior to this time, prices mentioned on the websites may vary depending on season and availability.
All costs are per person based on two persons sharing a room or cabin, unless otherwise noted, Accommodations and meals as indicated in the itinerary (B = breakfast, L = lunch, Picnic L = Picnic Lunch, D = dinner).
Reservations
Reservations are made online either by using our booking system or by sending an email. Reservations can not be done without a valid email address. The reservation is complete and binding when the reservation fee of 250 Euros is paid. Selected group trips may have different reservations fees.
The whole payment must be done immediately if the trip is scheduled to be within 14 days from the booking. Before your trip, we send a letter which contains all the important information about your trip and what to bring and how to dress.
Payments
Secure payments can be done in a variety of ways, including PayPal, bank transfer and cash payment. When we make you an offer, we will also include a description that explains what you will be paying for in your visit. Please note that full payment may be required earlier for some selected group trips.
Cancellation and changes
Before confirming your trip please read through these terms and conditions and in particular, our cancellations and returns policy. After booking, customers need to fill out the Customer Details Form that we send by email.
PRIVATE TRIPS:
We don’t refund the booking fee of 250 Euros.
You may cancel the trip without special reason as follows:
1. No later than 28 days prior to departure by paying the service fee 250€.
2. Later than 14 days but no later than 48 hours prior to departure by paying 50% of the price of the tour.
3. If the trip is canceled later than 48 hours prior to departure, Visit Natives has the right to charge the full price of the tour.
If you purchase your trip paying with PayPal, we don’t refund the PayPal fees.
All cancellations and changes shall be noticed in writing to us by e-mail (team@visitnatives.com) Monday through Friday.
If a participant elects to leave a trip in progress of their own volition, the participant will not receive any type of refund.
GROUP TRIPS:
You may cancel the trip without special reason as follows:
1. No later than 90 days prior to departure for free. We also refund your booking payment.
2. Later than 89 days but no later than 45 days prior to departure by paying 50% of the price of the tour.
3. If the trip is canceled later than 44 days prior to departure, Visit Natives has the right to charge the full price of the tour.
If you purchase your tour paying with PayPal, we don’t refund the PayPal fees.
All cancellations and changes shall be noticed in writing to us by e-mail (team@visitnatives.com) Monday through Friday.
If a participant elects to leave a trip in progress of their own volition, the participant will not receive any type of refund.
Please note that cancellation and changes policy is different for some selected group trips. When booking a group trip, you get full information on cancellation policy for your selected trip.
Operation of all group trips is dependent upon a minimum number of persons booking the tour. If that number is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the tour. In this situation, you will be offered to conduct the same trip as an independent trip, transfer to another trip of the same route and duration or receive a full refund.
PRIVATE AND GROUP TRIPS:
Privacy
We respect your privacy and give no information to third parties except your host, who needs to be able to contact you.
Delayed / Cancelled flights
Visit Natives is not in a position to offer any assistance in the event of the delay at the outward or homeward point of departure. The airline concerned will be responsible for a passenger in the event of flight cancellation or delay.
Itinerary Changes
Visit Natives reserve the right, without penalty, to make changes in the itinerary whenever for the comfort, convenience, or safety of the participants. As Visit Natives operates in remote areas, itineraries may be subject to change due to weather and road conditions or any other conditions of an operational nature. Every effort will be made to keep to the timetable and the itinerary, but no guarantee will be made that these will be kept. If for any reason the itinerary is altered and/or different itinerary offered, no refund is payable by the operator.
Travel Insurance
All our customers must have comprehensive travel insurance. It is a traveler's responsibility to acquire travel insurance before the stay. As we operate in remote areas, we recommend travel insurance with emergency medical evacuation plan so you get evacuated to modern medical care as soon as possible.
Baggage and personal effects are at all times the sole responsibility of the participant. Trip-cancellation insurance is also strongly recommended.
Passport, Visa and Immigration Requirements
It is the passenger's responsibility to fulfill the passport, visa, and other immigration requirements. Passengers are obliged to check the Visa regulations carefully before booking and paying for the tours. The passenger should confirm these with the relevant embassies and/or consulates. Visit Natives doesn't accept any responsibility in the case of a passenger being unable to travel due to not complying with any such requirements.
Health
You should ensure you are in good health as we are regularly traveling in isolated and remote areas. If you are unsure, please check with your doctor. Please notify us of any medical condition of which we should be aware. If you are taking medication, ensure you carry sufficient supplies for the duration of the tour. Make sure you have enough backup items in case we are delayed due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. We recommend you also bring a spare or repeats a prescription for any medication.
Any physical condition, diet, or treatment requiring special attention must be reported in writing when the reservation is made, or as soon as reasonably possible thereafter.
By booking a trip, the participant certifies that he/she does not have any mental, physical, or other condition or disability that would create a hazard for himself or herself or other participants. Visit Natives reserve the right in their sole discretion to accept, decline to accept, or remove any participant on a trip.
Assumption of Risk
By registering for a trip, the participant acknowledges that he/she is aware that traveling in remote areas may involve potentially dangerous activities, with a risk of illness (including infectious diseases), nature and wild animals (including snakes, scorpions, frostbites), injury or death which may be caused by forces of nature, illness, or by willful or criminal conduct of third parties or by terrorism. We will not be held liable for anything that occurs which is out of our control. This includes but is not exclusive to: loss or damage to personal property or third party property, any death, injury or illness.
Force Majeure
We shall have no liability for any effects caused to you before or during your trip, such as delays or cancellations, resulting from any act, events, omissions, failures or accidents that are outside of our control (‘Force Majeure’) or an act of God. We will use our reasonable endeavours to minimise any delay caused by Force Majeure or to find a solution by which our obligations may be performed despite the Force Majeure event.
Photography
Visit Natives reserve the right to take photographs or videos during the operation of any trip and to use the resulting photography, videos, or recordings for promotional or commercial use without compensation to the participant. If the participant prefers that his/her likeness not be used, he/she must notify Visit Natives in writing prior to departure of the trip.
Claims
We want you to be happy, so please contact us as soon as possible so that we can resolve the problem. Any complaints must be presented immediately or no later 30 days from the end of the trip. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Finland. Any legal action relating to or arising out of this Agreement against or with respect to any of you shall be commenced exclusively of the courts of Finland.
