A safari with the Maasai
About the 8 days Maasai safari
There is nothing that compares to watching the majestic wildlife in their natural wildlife. And it's even better when you have the best Maasai guides to show you their land and the wild game. More than a hundred years ago the Maasai ruled over much of East Africa. Their feared warriors were renowned for their bravery. In the past, every Maasai warrior was supposed to kill a lion as it was symbolically a rite of passage. Until these days, the Maasai have a special relationship with their land, the wild animals, and cattle. From the child, the Maasai have herd their cattle in the savanna among the wild animals, and they respect nature in a way that we all can learn something. They are the only people who can walk inside the Ngorongoro Crater. So you can be sure that you travel in the best company.
Besides making your dream safari, spotting the big five and enjoying game drives and bush walks, you can find where the Maasai warriors hang out in the bush and learn how Maasai use the traditional plants for medicine and much more. You travel with the Maasai and go bushwalking in the wild which takes you closer to wild animals than any other safari can do. You are completely safe with the Maasai who walk with their spears. In addition, you enjoy game drives with a private safari vehicle. You spend days observing wild animals and amazing African wild nature. After viewing the game, you spend evenings in Maasai villages where you can feel the generous hospitality of your Maasai hosts. You sleep in a tent inside a Maasai village and in the wild bush with the Maasai warriors.
Relax and dine every night in candlelight under the sky full of stars. Here you can literally feel and hear the spirit of Africa. Be aware, many have left their heart there.
